Last week’s post brought us to the end of 2010, as Moonlight tottered through its first months of REincarnation— so I’m thinking that now might be a moment to take a minute to thank everybody for REading these REcollections, and to say that I hope you find the REwind as REwarding as I do, in continuing to REview the REtrospection.
I’ve stuck a button at the bottom of each weekly episode that allows you to make a comment, something that only a few of you have chosen to do. It would be most gratifying to hear from a couple more readers, if you have suggestions, observations, or just a yoohoo, as I squint to see the audience beyond the stage lights. Substack provides me with stats on each post, which I guess is helpful, they say that typically a post is read by about 65% of those who receive and open the email— how they know that, I can’t say— rhythms I comprehend, algorithms not so much. But they report those digits in a green color, which I take to mean “Good on ya!”
Subscriptions to this ‘stack climbed to 200 pretty quick, but has stuck there stubbornly for months now, as if that was as many as we can have. That’s less than 10% of the original email list to which these weeklies were sent long ago, no doubt a bunch’a folks have moved along or left the party altogether— but please share the blog if you think somebody would be charmed to see it, I’d be obliged if we could hike the readership to another level. There’s another one o’ them buttons down here at the bottom of the text to make that easy to do, most people won’t feel pestered by one extra email a week, and they might even thank you for spreading the word.. I know I do.
Once more, thanks and thanks again for strolling through this little museum with me, we’ve already been reminded of joyful moments we almost forgot— stick with us, please, there’s lots more to come. Next week, 2011!!
Hi Keith! I have been glancing over your weekly posts, but I admit that since this time period is before I started attending shows, I'm finding myself only reading about the gigs with names I recognize. I'm sure I'll comment on the ones that I attended, once they start popping up. I'm excited for you on this adventure of REvisiting your REviews....you're such an excellent writer!
You are a gifted writer! Please tell more stories about your life experiences!
